National Family Mediation
Status: umbrella body with m’ship of nfp family mediation sector
Links: with MOJ, Family Mediation Council, UK College of Mediators
Aims: to represent nfp family mediation sector and promote quality and prof practice development
Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution -CEDR
Status: umbrella body for training and standards in commercial and civil dispute resolution. Professional Association.

Aims: to represent all prof. commercial practitioners e.g. lawyers, accountants, and other specialist private practitioners.
Family Mediators Association FMA (part of the ADR group-agreement press release)
Status: umbrella prof association for lawyer and non-lawyer family mediators

Aims: to represent family mediators and set quality standards and training for ppd
The College of Mediators (formerly UKCFM)
Status: building on exisiting m’ship of all family mediators and new mediators from all practice areas

Aims: professional association and ppd, quality, training etc for conflict practitioners across practice areas

Status: private sector mediation service providers mostly in workplace mediation
