Yorkshire and Humberside
MedNorth or Yorks and Humber are in the process of strengthening regional network infrastructure with a grant from Change-Up. I have been asked to continue the work started by MedNorth and George Tslivakis which resulted in a business plan and which will continue with promotional work and awareness building of mediation services in
the region. This work was in process before the closure of Med UK and is the result of there being a strong Yorkshire regional network for the last 10 years. (information from Judith Scott)

Sub-regional groups include:
- Kent Mediation
(Kent Mediation are a network that intends to become a company limited by guarantee, and to appoint a member of staff to co-ordinate funding bids.
Service managers across the county are keen to:
v Standardize practice and Mediator competency standards.
v Develop and standardize training courses
v Bid for Kent-wide contracts which would be more attractive to some larger organisations like DfES of MoJ
v Promote awareness of RJ approaches (like a PR team) provide more accessible information for members of the public and other organisations
v Develop a ‘service users’ forum to inform best practice
v Undertake evidence based need for future funding opportunities
v Evaluate and monitor work undertaken across Kent , as part of evidence building to reinforce successes
v To seek out information useful in the promotion of RJ in government and other areas such as education and courts systems
v Set up and maintain links and network with other mediation and RJ organisations, providing contributions to newsletters if appropriate and producing our own newsletter
v Provide comment or response to government or media as appropriate
v Plan and deliver high quality promotional activity, seminars, training, focused AGM’s and other events.
v Strengthen membership across Kent
